This system is certainly quick to hook-up and disassemble, however it is easy to loose those little cotter pins in the grass!
On my quarter scale Cub, I prefer to tap the strut ends with a thread and drill out the strut brackets with a clearance drill. I then use socket head cap screws that stay in the brackets and do not fall into the long grass! The use of a long ball type driver makes this task simple.
